Where to live

Torrevieja

154 listings available

Torrevieja is not a resort that closes in October. Ninety thousand people live here permanently: the bakeries open early, the buses run in January, and the Saturday market fills the streets whatever the season. The town grew around salt — two vast pink lagoons sit just inland, and the air between them and the sea is famously easy to breathe.

Come evening, the promenade fills with families walking off dinner. Fishing boats come into the marina. It feels like Spain that happens to have foreigners in it, rather than a place built for them.
